About me

I’m an optioned screenwriter who sometimes informs my scripts with experiences gleaned from living on a 5-acre farm in the Pacific Northwest and growing up as a preacher’s kid surrounded by quirky congregants.

My comedy scripts have placed in the Top 10 of several screenplay competitions, and I was pleased to have two scripts, including a new pilot, recently gain notice in the Emerging Screenwriters Competition.

I belong to the Northwest Screenwriters Guild and am an alum of Hal Croasmun’s ScreenwritingU, having completed the two-year Master Screenwriter’s Course and six-month Bingeworthy TV Bootcamp. I’ve also completed the in-person Robert McKee’s Story Seminar.

As a feature journalist, I interviewed such notables as mystery writer Dick Francis, theologian Dallas Willard, Hollywood wrangler Gordon Spencer, and Captain Kangaroo. My bylines include Newsweek, The Seattle Times, Metropolitan Living, and Horse Illustrated.

In my spare time, I volunteer for Special Olympics and am learning to spin my llama’s fiber.

Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to hearing from you to see how I can help you with your project.

Hope
